The ring turned out amazing. She absolutely loves it and was surprised not only by the proposal but also my taste in picking it out. Thanks you so much for your help and availability during my purchase. Not only do I feel like I got a great price, but I also feel like I understand diamonds a little. You really made buying a ring a pressure-free, easy, and informative experience for me. I will surely send any of my friends to Protea should they be in the market for a diamond.

Dear Ms. Conrad,

Because I was a bride quite a long time ago, my husband purchased my engagement ring from a store in another city.  However, I wanted to upgrade my wedding band and last year he bought me a seven stone Asscher cut diamond band from Protea Diamonds in Arlington.

Protea's attention to detail, demand for excellence and knowledge is above every other jewelry store in the area.  This is not a casual walk in store.  Once you make an appointment and sit down with Anthony, you have his full attention and the benefit of his taste and breadth of knowledge.  I would not buy a "serious" diamond from anyone else and I know that is the case with many other people who are fortunate enough to learn about Protea Diamonds.

My husband has since bought another piece from Protea and we will use them in the future.

Hi Anthony and Chloe,

I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know that Melissa and I got engaged
this weekend at The Inn at Little Washington.  We had a wonderful time (visited some
Virginia wineries during the dinner; had dinner and stayed over at the Inn).  Melissa
absolutely loves the ring and thinks you did a wonderful job helping me pick out a stone
and getting it designed.

Hi Rhonda
I happened to be in a jewelry store today and met a very nice man that
happens to have the same last name as you.....guess you know him?!?  :)

When he was asking where we worked, I said Freddie Mac, and he said his
wife worked there. (5,000 employees, I was pretty sure I would not have
heard of his wife).  I was thinking Taitz...hmmm...sounds familiar. And
then I realized--it has to be Ronda Taitz that works with Rene and Marta! I
explained to him that I was the space liaison for ICM and had received
emails from you before and to tell you hello.   Very small world!

I think if I were the wife of a jeweler, I would have to work just to pay
for all the baubles I would want for myself! He had so many beautiful
pieces.  We had looked at a few other stores and nothing compared to what
Anthony had. I had a roommate and 2 other friends that went to him and
raved about him, so we decided to go there. Best decision we've made.

He was soooooo patient with me (when I changed my mind 45 times!) and had a
huge selection.

Anway, just wanted to pass along to you that we met Anthony and we'll
hopefully be yet another Freddie Mac'r that bought from him!

Anthony - I hope you got my message last saturday.  I just wanted to thank
you again for expediting the process for us.  The ring is even more gorgeous
then I remembered.  You were such a big help to us. We are extremely happy
and I have gotten many compliments.  Now I can be the fiance when I'm with
his family in Italy and not just the "girlfriend."
 
We will be making an appointment to come into to look at wedding bands when
I return probably in August.  We have tentatively set a date for our wedding
in October so we don't have much time.  Let me know how long before the
wedding we should consider ordering bands.
 
Also, any recommendations you can make on caring and cleaning of the ring
would be great.  I'm obviously not used to having this gorgeous piece of
jewelry on my finger everyday.
