Thank you very much for all your help in the difficult task of purchasing an engagement
ring. The variety of rings you had available was unbelievable. The other places I
looked had a very limited selection in the 3-stone engagement ring I was looking for.
Stephanie and I loved the engagement ring so much we even made an appointment to purchase
wedding bands even though we now live in Charlotte, NC. I'd recommend Anthony and Protea
to anyone!!!

Anthony,
It's been a while since I bought the GelinAbaci engagement ring from you in late October, and I just wanted to thank you for all of your help. She loves the ring and...she said yes. We are getting married on December 1st and plan on coming by your store during the next few months to look at wedding bands.
Thanks again and see you soon!

Anthony,
I'm wearing both the ring and the pendant even as we speak and I'm thrilled beyond belief! Thanks too for the bottle of SA wine -- I'll enjoy that a lot.
Thanks so much for your help and professionalism and for delivering such a beautiful piece of jewelry. I'm not normally high maintenance so I'm not sure how often we'll be back to visit, but you can be assured I'll recommend you to all of our friends who are in the market for gorgeous pieces.
Best, cheryl

Anthony,
I proposed to Christy on Friday, July 29th and everything went as planned. After receiving the ring that afternoon I checked into the Hay Adams Hotel in DC. It is directly across the street from the White House and they gave me a free upgrade to a suite because of our special night. The room was beautiful with a king bed, a fireplace, a couple of sofas, moulded ceilings and a great view of DC landmarks. I waited, paced, and rehearsed my proposal there for the next hour and a half.
When the time came to pick Christy up from work I was extremely nervous. I'd told her that we were meeting friends from Philly for dinner in Georgetown. I went to pick Christy up from work to make it more convenient and told her that our friends were running late so we would go and walk around the National Cathedral to waste some time. We got there and Christy had no clue. We walked around the Bishop's Garden and ended up under a magnolia tree (Christy's favorite) among boxwoods. My previously rehearsed speech was quickly forgotten and all that really came out was "You know I love you very much, will you marry me" (all on one knee of course). Christy stood there looking at me and I had to ask her again. She was in shock. Finally she said yes and began laughing and crying at the same time for the next 45 minutes or so. I then broke it to her that we weren't actually going to dinner with our out of town friends but that I had made other plans.
After the proposal we went back to the hotel to change for dinner where Christy was amazed by the suite. We had a couple of glasses of the fantastic South African Shiraz that you'd given me and then went to a great dinner at 1789 in Georgetown. Dinner was very good. Christy had the rack of lamb and I had grouper fish. After dinner we went back to the hotel where we split a bottle of Dom Perignon that had been chilling while we were at dinner. It was the perfect ending to a perfect night.
The next day (and everyday since really) Christy has woken up and stared at her ring. She loves the sparkle and the two of us believe that it is the most beautiful ring we've ever seen. Thank you very much for your help in the selection process and finding a setting that is stunning and unique.
Thank you again. You can be sure that I will recommend Protea to my friends.
